Release list
v1.4.0
Estimates that look and line up more like YouTube's own data.
- Score shape: estimates were averages of four signals, so most segments sat around 0.5. They're now reshaped so ordinary segments sit near zero and only real moments spike, like "Most replayed". Ranking is unchanged. ESTIMATE_MEDIAN_TARGET (default 0.12, 0 = off).
- The last few seconds of a video are no longer flagged as a drop-off just because the final segment is short.
- New calibrate.bat / calibrate.command: list videos that have the official graph, and it measures how well estimates match and tunes the signal weights to your kind of videos (--apply saves them).
Update: extract the zip over your folder and restart the server.
v1.3.0
Security hardening.
Dashboard
- The API key box is no longer a password field, so browsers stop offering to save it as a login.
- The key stays in this browser only: by default until the tab closes. "Remember on this device" is opt-in, and "Forget key" wipes it.
- The key is only sent over https (plain http only works for localhost).
- A shared link with someone else's ?api= never receives your saved key.
- Strict Content-Security-Policy, no framing, no referrer; server results are validated before they're shown.
Server
- Browsers may call the API only from the Heatmapify dashboard or pages on your own computer. CORS_ORIGINS=* from older installs is narrowed automatically on the next start.
- API responses are no-store, nosniff, no-referrer.
- New rotate-key.bat / rotate-key.command to replace a leaked key.
Update: download the zip below and extract it over your folder, then restart the server.
v1.2.0
- Private, members-only, Premium-only and sign-in-only videos now return a clear error (video_private, video_members_only, video_premium_only, video_needs_sign_in) instead of a generic upstream or server error. Unlisted videos still work.
- Raw yt-dlp errors that slip through are mapped too, never a bare 500.
- Dashboard: "Share as image" in the Export card (share, copy or download a 1080x1350 summary of the result).

Heatmapify v1.1.0
The project is now called Heatmapify.
- Dashboard: https://heatmapify.onrender.com (backup: https://heatmapify.netlify.app)
- Download: Heatmapify.zip below
- Dashboard polish: tighter corners, no tap-highlight boxes on mobile, smoother press animations, fixed sideways scroll on narrow phones and tablets
