Security

  • CVE-2026-41210: a malicious host could overflow memory in the H.264 SPS fixup. Fixed with upstream's code.

From Moonlight 6.2.0

  • Full-range colour is now the default for most renderers (fixes raised blacks; less banding).
  • Better recovery after packet loss (partly dropped IDR frames, RFI after multi-block loss).
  • Windows: newer libraries (FFmpeg 9.0.2, libplacebo, SDL 3.4.18), including the D3D11VA full-range fix.
  • Linux AppImage: FFmpeg 9.0.2, and it now uses your system's VA-API library, so hardware decoding works with current drivers.
  • Linux: fixes for a possible freeze (SDL/libdecor/Qt), a DRM renderer leak, mouse capture with sdl2-compat, and desktop detection.

The DualSense SDL patches now apply to SDL 3.4.18.

Changes in this build:

  • Xbox 360 emulation toggle is now a button combo you can change: default Share/Back + L3 + R3 (Settings → Quick Menu shortcuts). The old Start + Select hold is gone.
  • Stream notifications now always disappear.
  • The update check is off (it pointed at stock Moonlight).
  • Linux: AppImage, 10-bit SDR swapchain, package check in scripts/build-linux.sh, optional start-menu entry.
