TuxShell 1.5.0
What's new
- Saved layouts: save a set of tabs with their split panes and open them all again in one click. Right-click a tab → Save tab as layout, or Home → Layouts → Save open tabs. Open them from Home → Layouts or Ctrl+K, and mark one to open when TuxShell starts. A layout keeps which hosts are open and how they're split, never anything typed in them.
- Remote desktops, in their own window: share your printers and smart card readers, pass USB devices through (beta), or open a single program instead of the whole desktop (RemoteApp).
- Import
.rdpfiles: pick one or more Windows Remote Desktop files in Import; address, user, screen, sharing, sound, gateway and RemoteApp settings come along. - Window options (Preferences → General → Window): open the window as you left it, maximized, or full screen, and keep it on top of other windows (X11 and macOS).
- Hosts sidebar: resize it by dragging its edge (double-click for the default width); its header no longer squeezes the New host button.
- Detect next to a host's operating system: only when you click it, it reads
/etc/os-releasethrough a session that's already open, or the ssh server's greeting. TuxShell never runs it by itself. - Proxmox VE in the OS list, with its logo.
- Copy on select is on for new installs, and a shortcut can now be Shift with a key (for example Shift+Space for Paste), after a warning.
