TuxShell 1.5.3
What's new
- Reconnect a tab: right-click a tab → Reconnect (Reconnect all panes for a split tab) ends its sessions and connects them again.
- How fast is it? The status bar shows two times for the active terminal: echo, how long your keys take to come back from the server, and draw, how long TuxShell takes to show them. A high echo means the network or server is slow. Preferences → About → Performance lists moments the window was busy and how many terminals draw on the GPU.
- Faster with many tabs: terminals could fall back to slow drawing for good once many tabs were open. Only the 8 most recently shown terminals keep GPU drawing now; the others get it back when you show them.
Fixes
- Duplicating a host froze the window (the menu stayed open and terminals disappeared). An error in the host form now stays inside the form.
- A copied host no longer says its original's password is saved.
- When a server shuts down or reboots, its tab now closes like after a logout (with Close the tab when you log out on). Failed connections and logins still stay open with Reconnect.
