Ghosttea is a native Ghostty-powered terminal runtime and desktop experience for Electron applications.

This release publishes 10 npm packages and 7 Rust crates under one shared version.

Fixed

  • On Windows, ghosttea-vt-sys links a Ghostty VT library built for the C
    runtime its consumer links. The library used to be built for the static
    runtime (/MT) only, while a Rust target links the dynamic runtime (/MD)
    unless it enables crt-static, so a consumer that also linked C++ of its
    own failed with LNK2038 ("mismatch detected for 'RuntimeLibrary'").
    • The default x86_64-pc-windows-msvc build links a library built for
      /MD. A build with -C target-feature=+crt-static links one built for
      /MT.
    • The /MD library adds no dependency on msvcp140.dll.
    • The Ghostty VT artifacts are released as ghostty-vt-1dceb4dd5089. The
      macOS library is byte-identical to the previous one.

Changed

  • Rust consumers must move their truffle-core pin to =0.7.23. Every
    crate sharing an application-owned Truffle node must resolve the same
    version. Swift consumers get Truffle 0.7.23 through Ghosttea's exact pin.
    • Truffle 0.7.23 keeps a dying sidecar's last stderr lines, which its
      stderr forwarder used to drop at shutdown. Its Swift package is otherwise
      unchanged.
  • The Apple native artifact is rebuilt for this release.

Validation

  • A Windows-only workspace crate links a C++ object built for the Rust
    target's C runtime beside the Ghostty VT library, so a library built for the
    other runtime fails CI at link time.
  • Packaging refuses a Windows Ghostty VT library whose objects are stamped for
    the other C runtime.
  • Neither changes what ships.
