Pre-release
Pre-release
Beta. Becomes stable once it meets the stability criteria. For everyday use, prefer the latest stable version.
The website is easier to find in search engines and looks better when shared: links to it now show a preview image and description. The app does not change.
Install
- Download Prune-1.6.3.dmg (under Assets) and drag Prune to Applications.
- On first launch, allow it in System Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Open Anyway, or in Terminal:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Prune.app - Follow the Full Disk Access assistant.
Verify the file: shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS in the folder where you downloaded both files.
macOS 14 or later · Apple silicon and Intel. The interface follows the system language (English or Portuguese).
Added
- A preview image, title and description when the website is shared on Product Hunt, X, Slack, Messages and other sites.
- Details search engines use to show Prune as a free macOS app, and a site icon in browser tabs.
Changed
- The website's title and description say what Prune is: a free, open-source Mac cleaner and uninstaller.
