• One connection per chat-app bot, however many API workers (#2168). With
  two workers, every polling bot had two connections: Telegram terminated one
  getUpdates after the other about fourteen times a minute, and two Mattermost
  sockets would each receive every event. A worker now holds a bot's connection
  under a lease in the shared Redis; the others leave it alone and take it over
  when its holder stops.
