Release list
vlint 0.1.0
vlint 0.1.0: oxlint 1.90.0's default rules, written in Vu (ts/README.md).
Install
npm install --save-dev @vu0tran/vlint@0.1.0
or in place of oxlint, keeping oxlint in your scripts: "oxlint": "npm:@vu0tran/vlint@0.1.0" in devDependencies.
The archives hold the binary alone: Linux x64 and ARM64 (static: any glibc or musl), macOS 12 or later on Apple silicon and Intel. Check them against SHA256SUMS.
Vu 0.3.0
0.3.0 (2026-10-31): rounds 25 to 30. The first release with prebuilt binaries (Linux x86-64
and ARM64, and macOS on Apple silicon, all three tested in CI on every push), an installer
(curl -fsSL https://vulang.org/install | sh) and a Homebrew formula. For backends: vu new app
and vu new api write an app with accounts on PostgreSQL, ready for Railway; the standard library
gained auth (Django-compatible password hashes, sessions, CSRF), jobs (background jobs in
PostgreSQL), migrate, stripe, s3, mail (SMTP and Resend), ai (Anthropic and OpenAI, with
streaming), server-sent events, CORS, rate limits and metrics in web; and pg gained connection
pools, transactions, rows read into structs (query_as), COPY and LISTEN/NOTIFY, reading 200,000
rows 2.6 times faster than asyncpg. MCP servers in Vu, each checked answer by answer against the
reference server: filesystem, time, fetch, git and sqlite, with the modules they needed (dir
folders as capabilities, mcp, stdio, json). Builds: an edited 20,000-line program rebuilds in
0.83 s (split, cached C), vu build --lib makes shared libraries, and lists pass to C as pointers.
The language: else after a call that sets a value or returns nothing, function values with var
parameters, and ? inside a call's own arguments. Changes that can break 0.2.0 code:
http.Request has a peer field (a Request built by hand needs one more argument, "").
Install
curl -fsSL https://vulang.org/install | sh
or brew tap vu0tran/vu https://github.com/vu0tran/vu && brew install vu0tran/vu/vu. Archives for Linux x86-64, Linux ARM64 (glibc 2.34 or later) and macOS on Apple silicon; check them against SHA256SUMS.
Vu 0.2.0
0.2.0 (2026-10-28): rounds 17 to 24. The language gained methods (x.f()), """ strings and
text constants, wrapping operators and list slices, own parameters in function types, moving what
a match on a call binds, select over channels and a connection, and generic interfaces. The
standard library: sqlite, PostgreSQL over TLS, time zones, an HTTP client that keeps connections
and speaks HTTP/2 (with requests multiplexed by fetch_all), WebSocket routes in web, zlib
compression, file uploads, heap, sort(by:) and sort(key:), Unicode normalization and character
classes. Tools: vu build --wasm, vu build --profile, a package registry (vu search, vu add,
vu publish), and hover, definition and completion in vu lsp. Changes that can break 0.1.0 code:
h2.serve_conn takes an http.Site (http.serve and web.serve are unchanged); ws.Socket and
web.App have more fields (made with ws.accept/ws.connect and web.app(), as before, they're
unaffected); a match on a call that binds a value now owns it (code that compiled still does).
Install

Archives for Linux x86-64 and Linux ARM64 (glibc 2.34 or later); this release predates macOS support. Check them against SHA256SUMS.
Vu 0.1.0
0.1.0 (2026-10-28), the first tagged release: everything through round 16. The language
(ownership without annotations, enums, generics, interfaces, closures, typed errors, capabilities,
tasks and par loops, JSON, C calls), the compiler (self-hosted, compiling to C; check, run,
build, fmt, test, get, lsp, new web, and a WebAssembly build for the browser), and the
standard library (http with HTTP/2 and TLS, web, ws, pg, re, zlib, path, cli, time,
log). Linux on x86-64 and ARM64. Versions below 1.0 may change the language incompatibly; the
changelog says when they do. vu version prints the release.
