Should't this work be part of the Implementation Guidelines, as it will be a common requirement for everyone issuing (and verifying) their own application specific VCs kind regards David

+1 watching this and would like to participate. I've written a JSON-LD + JSON-schema implementation for Open Badges Extensions in the past, so I'm familiar with some of the thorniness of the problem space.

This is definitely not fit for implementation guidelines -- this should really be part of a serialization specification. The VC data model spec has guidelines for what serializations need to provide, and this can do exactly that in its own spec.
