There are a few phrases that I'm not sure about, yet I'm not a French speaker. @remibetin has offered to help!

Thank you Alex for your work on this translation ! Here is my review.

You will find some easy fixes and suggestions we may agree on. For some tricky phrases, I think the opinion of other members of the group would be very helpful, but feel free to react !

  • Typo : "existants"

  • The expression "du W3C WAI" is not very easy to understand, don't you think ?

My suggestion : using the same technique as the spanish translation : "les standards/règlements existants de l'Initiative pour l'accessibilité web (WAI) du W3C."

  • Fixed the Typo.

  • If we change this expression, we will need to realign the rest of the document.

I’ll open an issue for the glossary. I have noticed that the Spanish translators had a discussion about this too.

I've just opened an issue for "W3C WAI" for the glossary : https://github.com/w3c/translation-glossaries/issues/24

As discussed in the glossary issue : https://github.com/w3c/translation-glossaries/issues/24 we should use the following formulation : "L'accessibilité mobile est traitée dans les standards/règlements existants W3C WAI"

- **L'accessibilité mobile est traitée dans les standards/règlements existant du W3C WAI**. Il n'y a pas de règles séparées spécifiques à l'accessibilité mobile.
- Le W3C est en train de mettre à jour les exigences et conseils spécifiques à l'accessibilité mobile.
- **Les efforts de la [force d’intervention sur l’accessibilité mobile](https://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/mobile-a11y-tf/) de la WAI se portent entre autres sur :**

  • "Mobile Accessibility Task Force" : wouldn't "groupe de travail sur l'accessibilité mobile" be more appropriate ? "force d'intervention" is essentially used when referring to military or police forces.

I would normally agree.
Here, I recall content referring to "working group" as well as "Task force".
I thought I would keep the distinction here.

**Le W3C traite l'accessibilité mobile.** La WAI s'assure que les technologies centrales du W3C prennent en charge l'accessibilité, y compris celles qui sont essentielles pour le Web mobile. L'ensemble du travail effectué par le W3C est examiné par le [Groupe de travail Architectures de Plateforme Accessible (APA)](https://www.w3.org/WAI/APA/).

  • "W3C addresses mobile accessibility" : see my remark about "traite l'accessibilité mobile" above.
  • The name of the APA group is tricky to translate. I guess "Architecture de plateformes accessibles" is easier to understand in French and closer to the original name, but I think we should discuss this with @slhenry and the rest of the group. What do you think ?

  • replaced with "aborde"
  • I think your suggestion is better than mine. Replacing it for now but we can still discuss with @slhenry indeed.

For the APA WP, I've just opened an issue for the glossary (and changed my eye a bit) https://github.com/w3c/translation-glossaries/issues/23

Thank you so much @Alex-akel and @remibetin for working together to polish this translation!

I would like to publish it this week — because we will be promoting translations starting Monday for Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD).

Please prepare this for publication, and let me know when it is ready.. You can continue to discuss options after it is published, and we can update it when you reach consensus.

Thanks!

Thank you @Alex-akel ! I created a new PR w3c/wai-translations#40 based on yours, with some updates because the English version was updated in November. I also fixed some minor things found during the final proofreading.
