v0.9.80
TopologicPy 0.9.80 is a major internal and public-API milestone, aligned with the move of Open CASCADE Technology and pythonOCC toward the 8.x generation.
Key changes include:
New high-performance PythonOCC backend, with major speed improvements across transformation, slicing, and Boolean workflows.
Much stronger preservation of curves, NURBS, analytical geometry, and topology fidelity.
New graph-based CSG system with selective recomputation, caching, and exact provenance.
Public ShapeGrammar API with compiled rule matching, semantic filtering, caching, derivation graphs, and lineage graphs.
BRepGraph-backed provenance and lineage, exposing generated, modified, unchanged, and deleted relationships without leaking backend-specific objects into the public API.
Improved dictionary propagation based on exact OCCT history rather than geometric heuristics.
Broad refactoring of geometry operations across Edge, Wire, Face, Shell, Cell, CellComplex, and Topology.
Extensive regression work across the library, with 1,475 tests passing and 29 skipped at the main validation checkpoint.
This release represents a significant step toward making TopologicPy not only a topology and geometry toolkit, but a computational framework that can retain and query the history of how geometry was created.
