TopologicPy v0.9.86
This release adds building navigation, new grid patterns, and improved isovist and face-offset behaviour.

  • Building navigation: Added the Navigation class and IFC navigation extraction, connecting walkable surfaces across storeys through stairs, ramps and lifts.

  • Grid patterns: Added Grid.OnPlane and extended Grid.OnFace with rectangular, hexagonal, diamond diagrid and polar grids. Supports independent U/V spacing, rotation, local-plane construction and XY projection, with vertices, edges or faces output.

  • Clearance: Added boundary clearance to grid and navigation construction while retaining the original grid alignment.

  • Face offsets: Enhanced Face.ByOffset to retain multiple resulting regions and warn when an offset splits a face.

  • Isovists: Updated Face.Isovist to distinguish transparent holes from opaque obstacles. Both exclude viewpoints, while holes allow visibility across them. Navigation.IsovistFaces assigns the corresponding boundary types.

  • Backend compatibility: Fixed navigation metadata handling across PythonOCC and TopologicCore, including decoded dictionary values and identifier preservation.

  • Documentation and tests: Added API documentation, examples and regression coverage for the new grid patterns, navigation, clearance and isovist boundaries.

  • Existing Grid.OnFace calls retain their previous behaviour.
