Added

  • permissions.mcp.authority decides whether an MCP server offers the commands that change what a later run may
    do
(cli-core 0.400.0): config set|unset, schedule command|agent|remove, reply rules and consents, recipient lists,
chat rules, server install, skill install, model keys, media archive timers and flood clear. It is deny by
default, so an agent still cannot loosen its own limits until you run
tg <profile> config set permissions.mcp.authority allow in a terminal (add --bot for a bot's server).
    Permissions and
    the MCP guide explain it.

Changed — may break callers

  • tg mcp offers the writes that had no permission key before, each ask by default (cli-core 0.401.0): store
backup, restore, migrate, repair, reset, clear, decrypt and copy deletion, server start/stop/restart, model downloads,
schedule run|exec, doctor report create and account sessions end; the bot server offers store fetch. Over MCP
ask goes ahead, so set a key to readonly or deny to hide a tool. tasks duplicates is tasks duplicates list.

  • tg <profile> events list --json writes times as ISO 8601 and ids as strings (cli-core 0.401.0): starts_at,
ends_at, deleted_at, created_at and updated_at, as every other answer does.

  • A bot's MCP server can offer bot api, behind permissions.bot.api (cli-core 0.402.0). It is deny by default;
tg <profile> config set --bot permissions.bot.api allow in a terminal turns it on.

  • tg <profile> watch --jsonl prints {"type":"item","data":…} lines and a final {"type":"end","complete":true}.
Read each message or event from data, and stop at the end line. Fields are snake_case. A timeout or a normal stop
ends with complete: true; a failure ends with complete: false and its exit code.

  • runs search is now search runs. Filters are terms in the query: status:failed, error_code:timeout,
operation:messages.download, profile:work, next to plain words. Saved MCP requests use the new command path.

  • stats reports take their filters as query terms. --message-kind is message_kind:posts|comments|all,
    --min-messages 5 is min_messages:5, --min-views and --max-replies are min_views: and max_replies:,
--older-than 24h is older_than:24h, and --chat is chat:<chat> on the rankings and reports; exact words use exact: in place of --exact. Update saved
    commands and MCP requests.

  • Options have one meaning each (cli-core 0.399.0). Use --analysis-provider for analysis and --embedding-provider
for vector search (conversations build|embed|related|status, search conversations), --consent-provider for
conversations consents revoke, --claim for tags remove, --answer-model for conversations links clear,
--template-mode for reply templates and --text-file for contacts notes add|edit. inbox and review take
kind:group, channel in their query. The old spellings still work, hidden, for one release.

Fixed

  • Voice-note search no longer finds a different real English or Spanish word for the one you typed (cli-core
0.402.0). A misheard spelling still turns up: "budget" finds "budjet", but "cost" no longer finds "cast".

  • Downloading media skips service events and keyboards (cli-core 0.400.0). A chat with a group event or an inline
keyboard no longer makes attachments download fail with provider.invalid-response.
