• The publishing workflow checks the exact commit supplied by bin/release before building,
  so a concurrent merge cannot silently replace the source selected for release.
• Recording archives use Core's shared native writer leases while keeping the existing marker
  layout and inspect/recover commands. Acquisition refuses a missing or replaced ownership marker
  before downloading, and owned release completes after cancellation without deleting replacements.
