Changed — may break callers
ZM_READ_ONLY now works as TG_READ_ONLY does in tg, max and wa: reads and mirrors, never changes. The syncs
that copy Zoom into the store or an archive run under it — meetings sync, watch, recordings sync, recordings download and recordings schedule run; before, the lock refused them. Changes to Zoom, login,
configuration and what the owner added (imports, links, transcripts, exports, archive jobs) stay refused with
exit 5, and the refusal now names which kind it was. The first screen says what the lock blocks.
zm commands without --json prints the commands as text, by section (Read, Write, Organise, Automate, Set
up), one line each with (writes) on a command that changes something, instead of a JSON array. zm commands --json is unchanged.
Adopt Core 0.348.0 and Base 0.47.0, which move together: a next step in --json output may carry line, the
whole command to type. An SDK consumer that pins Core or Base beside zoom moves with them.
Security
ZM_READ_ONLY refuses zm serve --mcp --semantic --base-url, whose semantic queries go to a remote embedding
service; it ran under the lock in 0.28.0. cli-core's lock refuses a query sent to another service the same way. meetings embeddings is refused as building vectors, with that reason.
Fixed
zm meetings list --help and zm meetings projects evidence --help print their help instead of exiting 2
(cli-core 0.347.0). A test now runs --help on every command.
zm guide --help returns through zm's own exit handling instead of ending the process itself.
