话说 Huashuo 的第一个正式版，修复 v0.1.0a1 试用中发现的问题。安装与使用见 README。

The first formal release of Huashuo, with fixes for what pilot users found in v0.1.0a1. See the English README.

改进 / What's new

  • 模型不认识的生僻字（如「笹垣」的「笹」）改用同音字来读，不再乱读 / rare characters the model does not know (笹 in 笹垣) are read through a homophone instead of at random
  • 「什么？」这样的短台词按上下文读出惊讶或疑惑 / short lines such as 「什么？」 sound astonished or puzzled as the context requires
  • 个别句子不再突然变慢；两个老年男声重新设计，语速与旁白更接近 / no more lines that suddenly slow down; the two old men's voices were redesigned to keep closer to the narrator's pace
  • 新增 .env.example，LLM 设置的模板 / .env.example, a template for the LLM settings

升级 / Upgrading

git pull 后对已有的书照常运行 huashuo make，只有受影响的句子会重新合成。
After git pull, run huashuo make on an existing book as before; only the affected lines are synthesized again.

演示有声书见 v0.1.0a1 发布页。The demo audiobooks are on the v0.1.0a1 release.

话说 Huashuo 的第一个预发布版，面向试用者与开发者：在 Apple Silicon Mac 上把中文小说（TXT、EPUB）做成多角色有声书。安装与使用见 README。

The first pre-release of Huashuo, for pilot users and developers: multi-voice audiobooks from Chinese novels (TXT, EPUB) on an Apple Silicon Mac. See the English README to install and use it.

这一版包含 / What's in it

  • LLM 找出每句对白的说话人，按性别、年龄和性格从 16 种中文声音里为角色挑选声音 / an LLM attributes every line of dialogue; each character gets one of 16 Chinese voices by gender, age and personality
  • Qwen3-TTS 在本机合成；LLM 可用云端服务、本机模型（零费用，质量未经测试），或不用 LLM 由旁白读全书 / local synthesis with Qwen3-TTS; a cloud LLM, a local one (free, quality not yet tested), or none (the narrator reads everything)
  • M4B 有声书（章节、封面、书名作者），也可输出单个 MP3 或分章节的 MP3 / M4B with chapters, cover and metadata; a single MP3 or one MP3 per chapter
  • 语音识别逐段核对并自动重新合成；按时间点重做；读音词典；说话人与声音可以手改 / speech-recognition checks with automatic retries; redo by time; a pronunciation dictionary; speakers and voices editable by hand

限制 / Limits

只支持 Apple Silicon Mac，从源码安装，命令行只有英文；英文书暂时只由旁白一个声音朗读；只在 Apple Books 上验证过。
Apple Silicon Macs only, installed from source, English command line; English books are read by the narrator alone for now; verified in Apple Books only.
