Lighter on slower computers
- Only the conversation on screen is drawn. A session you leave lets go of its drawing: eight long sessions used to keep about 670,000 page elements alive, now it is the one you are reading.
- Sessions are kept, compressed. The five you opened last stay as they are; the others are packed in memory and reopen from there without asking the server, with their edited-files card and Undo.
- Long sessions open on their newest turns. Earlier ones appear as you scroll up; the prompt rail and Find still reach the whole conversation.
- Pictures and screenshots take a fraction of the room. Pictures in your folder are no longer held as text in the window, and screenshot previews are stored as JPEG when that is smaller.
- The browser pane frees its page two minutes after you close the pane, and loads it again, back and forward and scroll included, when you open it.
Measured on the same sessions: about 190 MB less on average once a few long sessions are open (45%), up to 290 MB less.
Files the agent links to
- Click a file in an answer to open it where it reads best: code and text in the side panel, colored and numbered (
src/app.js:42marks its line); pictures in the viewer; pages and PDFs in the browser pane; anything else with its app. - Right-click a file link, a picture, an edited or uncommitted file: Open in side panel, View, Open in browser pane, Open with default app, Show in Explorer (Finder), Copy image, Copy path. Web links and selected text have their own menu.
- A program, a script or a macro document asks before it opens, since opening runs it. Files on another computer (network shares) are never opened.
- Copy image works again.
And
- The folder menu keeps "A folder on this computer" once a folder has been picked.
- Runs tell CodingFleet's usage dashboard which settings the app runs with (Ask or Auto-approve, theme, connectors used, and so on) and how each tool call got through: words from fixed lists and counts, never a path, a name or a file's contents. See Privacy in the README.
