Release list
Grimoire 1.0.0-beta.4
Adds folder content templates: assign a Markdown file as a folder's template, and new documents in that folder start from it. Also fixes a crash in the folder watcher, and asks before closing or quitting with edits that can't be saved.
Before rolling back: your library still loads in beta 3, but its first save permanently removes all template settings and any pending move recovery.
Known limit: folders with template choices can't be moved to another volume yet. Grimoire refuses the move and changes nothing.
What's Changed

Updating from beta 1 or beta 2
Those builds can't update themselves. Download the DMG below and drag Grimoire into Applications once; from this beta on, Grimoire checks for updates in the background, and Grimoire ▸ Check for Updates… looks right away.
New in this beta
- Grimoire updates itself.
- Open
.mdand.mdxfiles from Finder with Open With ▸ Grimoire. A file outside your projects opens in a project called Unsorted. - Crash and hang reports are kept on your Mac; Help ▸ Show Diagnostic Reports shows them. Nothing is sent anywhere.
- The DMG opens as a proper install window.
