Magic Extractor 1.4.0 — A refreshed GUI and more reliable extraction

A major update with a redesigned interface and a sturdier extraction engine.

New

• The GUI now follows Windows light/dark mode, with clearer controls, tooltips, keyboard navigation, and high-DPI support.
• A live log, progress indicator, status line, and end-of-run summary make extraction easier to follow.
• Added --merge-output to combine results, overwriting files with matching names.
• Added support for ACE, KGB, and PEA archives, plus 7-Zip ZS formats.

Improved

• Partial extractions are kept when a handler fails, instead of being discarded. The CLI reports these failures with exit code 3.
• Folder inputs are processed one file at a time. The CLI also handles interrupted runs and extraction errors more reliably.
• Improved UTF-8 handling and password masking in debug logs.
