feat: enable focused live Auto and expose quality decisions

Delegate compatible Auto selection after the startup preview while preserving explicit choices and the existing bounded runtime fallback. Show session capacity, camera allocation, active and pending variants in the existing diagnostics.

Include browser regressions, Paper designs, book documentation, and qualification evidence. Recorded and decoder-pressure adaptation remain open on #131.
