Noah v0.6.0
What's New in v0.6.0
Noah is now ready for real users. This release focuses on reliability and user-friendliness — nothing hangs, nothing shows raw errors, and new users know what to do.
Timeouts — nothing hangs anymore
- Approval timeout: If you don't respond to an approval prompt within 5 minutes, it auto-denies instead of freezing the app
- Shell command timeout: Commands that run longer than 60 seconds are automatically stopped
- LLM timeout: API calls that take longer than 90 seconds get a clean error
Friendly error messages
401→ "Your API key is invalid — check it in Settings"429→ "Too many requests — wait a moment"500/502/503→ "Claude is having temporary issues"- Network errors → "Check your internet connection"
First-run onboarding
New users see 4 clickable suggestion cards instead of an empty chat:
- "My internet is slow"
- "My computer feels sluggish"
- "A program keeps crashing"
- "Set up my printer"
Settings panel
Gear icon in the header bar opens a slide-out panel where you can:
- Change your API key
- See the app version
- Report a problem (links to GitHub Issues)
Cancel button
A red Stop button replaces the Send button while Noah is working — click it to halt processing mid-task.
Debug panel hidden
The debug panel is now only accessible via Cmd+D (Mac) or Ctrl+D (Windows) — no more confusing developer UI for regular users.
