Applications can now use the existing SEARCH/REPLACE engine with their own storage through apply_edits_to_text.

• Add TextEditResult with edited content and diff metadata.
• Preserve matching, overlap checks, BOMs, line endings, and error behavior.
• Keep local apply_edits file locking and atomic replacement unchanged.
• Perform no file access in the content API; callers own reading, writing, and concurrency.

Validation: formatting, lint, mypy, pyright, 132 tests, and strict wheel/source distribution checks passed.
