• Give a key or a shortcut a sound of your own: in Set Up Keyboard…, choose File… in its menu or drag an audio file onto it. TICS keeps a copy with the first 2 seconds.
• Return has its own row in Set Up Keyboard…, like Space, so you can change it without changing Delete, Tab, and Shift.
• Install TICS with Homebrew: brew install --cask yestoall/tap/tics.
• If you build TICS yourself, development builds are now called TICS Dev and keep their own keyboard permission.

• The keyboard and mouse settings windows now show the TICS icon and name, and TICS appears in the Dock while one is open.
• A short notification sound no longer makes TICS quieter: TICS waits until the other audio has been playing for 2 seconds.
• When the Quieter button is off, TICS is never quieter. The button lights up when other audio makes TICS quieter, and turning it off brings TICS back to your volume until that audio stops.

• While music, a video or a call is playing, TICS drops to 40% of your volume, and comes back a few seconds after it stops. Turn it off with Quieter with Other Audio, under the volume.
• Next to the volume there are two new buttons: one makes TICS quieter and the other silences it, without quitting the app. Press them again to turn them off.
• The volume bar shows what you’re hearing: when TICS is quieter, the fill drops and the knob stays on your volume.
• To know when other audio is playing, TICS checks which apps are using the speakers, as macOS reports it. It doesn’t listen to what they play and doesn’t ask for any permission.

• TICS tells you when there’s a new version. It shows up in the panel, under Check for Updates, with a button to download it, and the menu bar icon gets a red dot.
• To find out, TICS asks GitHub for the number of the latest version when it opens and once a day after that. It sends nothing else. Turn off Check for Updates and it never connects to the internet.
