markitai 2.3.0

Adds known API addresses and key regions for more providers in the workbench, simpler document menus, and fixes for updates and uploads. To get 2.3.0, run markitai update (2.2.0 and later) or update the way you installed: run the setup command again, or uv tool upgrade markitai / pip install -U markitai.

Added

• The workbench's API address field lists the provider's known addresses (regions and Coding Plan endpoints) to pick from, and still takes any address typed.
• The workbench finds the region of a MiniMax, Alibaba Cloud Model Studio or Z.ai key, as it does for Kimi, and a refused key's error names the provider's other regions.
• The workbench loads the model lists of Perplexity, Z.ai, Fireworks AI, Helicone and Cohere; Codestral, Cloudflare Workers AI and Galadriel take model IDs typed by hand instead of a load that always fails.

Changed

• The workbench's document menus are simpler: Download (Markdown, PDF, JSON, all files, file list), Copy Markdown, Re-convert… (opens with the document's options) and Delete, in the same order everywhere.
• On a desktop, the provider picker's types are a row of chips instead of a menu.
• The workbench shows more conversion notices in Chinese and Japanese.
• Running the setup script again to update no longer asks about optional components that are already installed, and remembers a "no".
• Chinese help and usage errors use full-width colons after every label and heading.

Fixed

• Choosing a folder no longer starts a conversion before Convert, even from the stray click a closing Safari file dialog can deliver; a failed upload says why and offers Retry.
• Behind a reverse proxy or tunnel, a refused upload shows the server's reason instead of a 502.
• PDFs made with ReportLab keep their bullet and numbered lists as Markdown lists instead of ## • headings.
• On X posts, the author's reply that doesn't continue the post is listed under Comments (marked as the author's), and comments follow posting order.
• Ctrl-C right after markitai serve starts drains and saves history instead of killing it.
• An update that runs out of disk space while unpacking, or with a notices folder on a full volume, says so and changes nothing.
• The workbench refuses a release whose program reports another version, and a copy of another version placed where setup installed markitai is no longer updated as that install.
• On macOS and Linux, a new version that hangs before it is ready is undone after 30 seconds, as on Windows.
• A second markitai serve in the same home no longer commits or undoes another server's update.
• sudo markitai update refuses when the install or MARKITAI_HOME belongs to another user.
• On Windows, only you can read serve/control, wherever MARKITAI_HOME is.
• After a markitai update without a restart, the workbench can still update a setup.ps1 install.
• Release archives and wheels include the rav1d (AVIF decoder) license notices.
