Release list
rjot 0.0.3-alpha
- Khmer: notes, prompts, the scratchpad, search and page titles are drawn shaped: subscript consonants stack, vowels sit where they belong, and long text wraps at word breaks. Uses Kantumruy Pro when installed, otherwise the Khmer Sangam MN font that comes with macOS. Markdown file names keep Khmer intact.
- Scratch is ready to type the moment you open it (⌘3 or the tab), with the cursor at the end. In sensitive mode it stays blurred until you click.
Install
On 0.0.2: Settings → Check for updates… → Install 0.0.3-alpha. rjot downloads it from GitHub, checks the SHA-256 below and restarts.
Otherwise: download the zip, unzip, move rjot.app to Applications, and right-click → Open the first time (it isn't notarized), or run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/rjot.app.
Apple silicon, macOS 11 or later.

rjot 0.0.2-alpha
- Menu bar icon: the last five captures (click to copy), Quick note, Open rjot, Pause capture, Launch at login (macOS 13+) and Quit.
- ⌥⇧V paste picker: from any app, pick a queued prompt (type to filter, ↑↓, ↩). It's pasted into the app you were in, your clipboard is put back, and the prompt is checked off.
- Page links: captures from Safari, Chrome, Arc, Brave, Edge and Vivaldi keep the page's title and URL. macOS asks once per browser.
- Markdown copy: pick a folder (an Obsidian vault, say) and rjot keeps an
rjotfolder there up to date: Notes, Queue, Archive, images, Scratch.md. - Pin and archive, and image notes (select an image, tap Shift twice).
- Check for updates… in settings: downloads the next release from GitHub, verifies its SHA-256 and restarts into it. rjot never checks on its own.
Install
- Download
rjot-0.0.2-alpha-macos-arm64.zip, unzip, move rjot.app to Applications (replace the old one). - Not notarized: right-click → Open the first time, or
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/rjot.app. - Coming from 0.0.1? Your notes carry over. The keyboard listener is now an active tap (to catch ⌥⇧V), so if macOS asks for Accessibility again, switch rjot on once more.
From this version on, updates install from inside rjot: settings → Check for updates….
Apple silicon, macOS 11 or later.
