Installed Meld-3.19.0 as a Homebrew cask. When launched from the command line like meld foo bar, application always starts in the background (as the "last" app when Cmd-Tab is pressed). Is there any way (or environment variable, or command line switch) to make it work like any other app: start in the foreground?

I have this same issue. Running Mac High Sierra.

With the advent of Mac OS Mojave, the problem got even worse: now I cannot find the window at all when Meld is started from a terminal.

The problem also persists when Meld is started from the dock: the application starts, but the File > New Comparison… option doesn't open any new window/dialog.

New build here to fix Mojave. You still need to run the fix mentioned above once before running the new build.

@yousseb I’m still getting Meld opened in background. I always need to click on dock icon to show window.

Yeah, it's still an issue for me too.
