1.1 - Stable release
This release brings a major upgrade to the core architecture and delivers the smooth shared cockpit experience that v1.0 was building toward.
After extensive internal rework, real-flight validation, and community testing, v1.1 significantly improves smoothness, stability, and integration flexibility.
🚀 Smooth Synchronization (Now Fully Stable)
• Aircraft position interpolation on every visual frame — now fully fixed in MSFS 2020
The new interpolation system introduced in RC1 is now stable across both MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020.
Shared flights are noticeably smoother — no more stutters or visual jumps.
• Core synchronization refocused
Payload, fuel, and flaps synchronization have been removed from the core.
Aircraft now connect these modules individually, while the core focuses strictly on:
- Physics
- Flight control surfaces
This makes the system cleaner, more modular, and more predictable.
🧠 Core Architecture Improvements
• Replaced WebSocket with CommBus (control menu removed from toolbar)
This prevents simulator crashes during aircraft load.
With the help of the FSLabs A321, the root cause of crashes occurring when both YourControls and FS Copilot were installed has been identified and resolved.
• WASM version mismatch detection
The UI now displays an error if the wrong WASM module version is loaded in the Community folder.
• Added ability to read B-variables
B variables can now be read, enabling deeper aircraft integrations.
• Added FSC_CONTROL variable for integrations
Exposes the current FS Copilot control mode for advanced aircraft integrations.
🛠 Development & UI Improvements
• Removed throttling from the developer UI — all values are now displayed without filtering
• Connection code is no longer cleared from the UI (faster reconnect workflow)
• Added connect / disconnect audio notifications
• Added the ability to bind a button to aircraft control takeover - Toggle Water Rudder
📌 Summary
Version v1.1 delivers the smooth synchronization originally envisioned for FS Copilot.
With a reworked communication layer, stable per-frame interpolation, improved modularity, and better developer tooling, this release marks a significant step forward in shared cockpit quality and reliability.
Thank you to everyone who tested, reported issues, and helped refine this version ❤️
