Haze Recomp 0.1.13 for Windows x64

Fixes Enter failing to advance from the "Press Enter to begin" screen. The
previous fix read optional menu history, which is empty on the live title
screen, and mistakenly sent Confirm instead of Start. The port now resolves
the top active page through its validated widget handle. Enter sends Start
at the title and Confirm in ordinary menus; holding it across that transition
cannot also select the next item. Rebound Start keys and controller Start
remain supported, and a dialog above the title still receives Confirm.

The failure was reproduced in the published 0.1.12 game with Windows keyboard
input, and its live page layout was inspected. New regressions exercise that
layout through both the production menu detector and keyboard mapper; they
fail before the fix and pass afterward. Automated input and menu tests cover
short taps, held-key transitions, dialogs and stale widget handles. The fixed
build has not received an
interactive gameplay run or a fresh Windows installation acceptance test.

Includes the performance, controls, graphics, campaign co-op, diagnostics and
save support from 0.1.12. This patch makes no new performance claims.

Run HazeRecomp--Setup.exe and select your disc-decrypted Haze USA ISO
(BLUS30094, 01.02 / 01.00). The installer downloads the pinned official RPCS3
helper and verified Sony firmware, prepares the game, and installs the launcher.
Click Play Haze when installation finishes; later use Haze Recomp in Start.
No separately installed RPCS3 or development tools are needed. Internet is
required for first installation. The portable ZIP requires already prepared data.

The installer is unsigned. Windows may display a publisher/SmartScreen warning.
This is experimental software: full campaign completion, online co-op, every GPU
and consistent performance are not validated. Keep backups of your saves.
Setup validates the supported executable and firmware decoder hashes.

SHA256SUMS.txt covers Setup.exe, ZIP, dependency sources and release.json.
release.json records the code and private generated-input commit used by the build.
HazeRecomp-dependency-sources.zip contains matching source and build information
for redistributed open-source dependencies. License texts are inside both packages.
Game assets, firmware files and private generated source files are not included.

Haze Recomp 0.1.12 for Windows x64

Raises gameplay frame rate substantially. The effects batch's square root
and division now run natively; ordinary frames are submitted into two
fence-owned storage slots so the game and renderer overlap; the guest command
ring is handed out in 64 KB segments instead of draining completely at each
wrap; and lifted game code is compiled with a committed gameplay profile
(profile-guided optimization). The frame limiter now paces on a fixed deadline
grid for steadier capped frames, and the launcher can export a diagnostics
report for bug reports.

Gameplay was measured on one PC (RTX 5080, Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 1440p) with an
uncapped later-combat camera sweep, comparing builds in alternating runs.
Average frame time fell from about 21 ms (~47 FPS) before these changes to
about 13.6 ms (~73 FPS). Results on other hardware and in other levels will
differ, and heavy moments can still drop below 60 FPS. The default frame limit
stays at 30 FPS because game timing above 30 FPS has not been verified across
the campaign. This build has not received a full campaign run or a fresh
Windows installation test; asset-free checks and targeted gameplay sessions
were completed.

Preserves the 0.1.11 fixes, the 0.1.9 title-screen Enter fix, and earlier
controls, graphics, campaign co-op and save support.

Run HazeRecomp--Setup.exe and select your disc-decrypted Haze USA ISO
(BLUS30094, 01.02 / 01.00). The installer downloads the pinned official RPCS3

Haze Recomp 0.1.11 for Windows x64

Reduces repeated CPU work with vertex-program metadata reuse, ready-aware job
completion waits, guarded native fill/copy helpers, selective PPU memory-read
inlining, and streamlined SPU quadword shifts and rotates. Existing fallback
paths and diagnostic opt-outs remain available.

Targeted correctness regressions and a later-combat gameplay run were completed
for the optimization stack. Other workloads contended for CPU during the final
run, so a gameplay FPS improvement has not been established. This release does
not promise 60 FPS. The final integration with the latest SDK has not received
a new interactive acceptance run or a fresh Windows installation test.

Supersedes 0.1.10, whose release build stopped before packaging: two build-time
guards had not been updated for the integrated SDK revision and the new default
hot-module read inlining. No 0.1.10 binaries were published; game code is
otherwise unchanged from 0.1.10.

Preserves the 0.1.9 title-screen Enter fix and earlier controls, graphics,
campaign co-op and save support. Also includes the integrated SDK fixes for
SPU decrementer overflow and PPU system-call fallthrough.

Run HazeRecomp--Setup.exe and select your disc-decrypted Haze USA ISO

Haze Recomp 0.1.9 for Windows x64

Fixes Enter failing to advance past the Press Start screen after the recent PC
menu confirmation changes. The title screen now preserves the configured Start
binding, while Enter continues to confirm in other menus and dialogs. Holding
Enter through the transition cannot also activate the next menu.

Rebound Start keys and controller Start remain supported. Targeted input,
menu-bridge and title regressions pass, including held-key transitions and short
taps. The new regression fails with the old Enter mapping. Interactive title
activation and a fresh installation acceptance run have not been performed for
this release.

Includes the performance, controls, graphics, campaign co-op and save support
from 0.1.8. This patch makes no new performance claims.

Run HazeRecomp--Setup.exe and select your disc-decrypted Haze USA ISO
(BLUS30094, 01.02 / 01.00). The installer downloads the pinned official RPCS3

Haze Recomp 0.1.8 for Windows x64

Reduces recurring gameplay work with asynchronous input-prompt atlas loading,
validated fragment-shader metadata reuse, and reuse of four additional verified
physics workers. Retains sampler descriptors across bounded heap pages to avoid
repeated mid-frame GPU completion waits. Doubles the bounded texture-content
cache limits from 64 to 128 MiB each for CPU and GPU content, reducing repeated
texture allocations in the tested opening scene.

Remembers exact graphics-pipeline recipes and prepares known pipelines before
gameplay on later launches. New or unsupported pipelines still use the normal
creation path. Recipe and shader-bundle persistence share the existing bounded
native-quit timeout and preserve prior archives when replacement cannot finish.

The final 60-second later-combat development-build capture averaged 38.34 FPS
at 2560x1440, uncapped with VSync off: median 24.11 ms, p95 34.74 ms, p99 37.32 ms,
and maximum 89.69 ms. One interval exceeded 50 ms; none exceeded 100 ms.
These are checkpoint-specific observations, not an isolated before/after gain
or a guarantee for other scenes and hardware. GPU completion stalls remain.
Focused sampler, pipeline-persistence, metadata and worker regressions passed.
The broader texture WARP fixture also passes after correcting its manual device
setup and sampler-page initialization. The packaged Release build has not had
a fresh gameplay or clean Windows installation acceptance run.

Existing controls, graphics settings, campaign co-op and save support are retained.

Run HazeRecomp--Setup.exe and select your disc-decrypted Haze USA ISO

Haze Recomp 0.1.7 for Windows x64

Saves learned shader bundles during normal native quit, before the renderer is
disabled. Persistence shares the existing shutdown timeout and preserves the
previous archive if replacement cannot complete. Raises the retained bundle
limit from 64 to 128 MiB so larger learned archives can be loaded and updated.
Focused persistence, archive-boundary and renderer-shutdown regressions pass.
Release-configuration gameplay validation is incomplete; no sustained-FPS or
general stutter improvement is claimed. Frame pacing remains under investigation.

Also includes invite-code campaign co-op and native player-profile settings,
expanded keyboard bindings with separate mouse-wheel controls, controller rumble
through the selected SDL device, Enter/Escape menu navigation, improved sustained
gunfire audio handling, and Haze artwork for setup and application icons.

Native offline shader preparation is still experimental and is not integrated
into this installer. Existing native controls and graphics settings are retained.

Haze Recomp 0.1.6 for Windows x64

Reduces redundant pixel shader compilation caused by unused texture bindings.
In a captured Haze sample, 274 shader recipes now require 117 unique shader
sources (57.3% fewer), with identical GPU instructions and declarations.
This reduces shader work; an isolated gameplay FPS gain has not been established.
Stutter and frame pacing remain under investigation (#110, #123).

Also includes the menu input fixes merged since 0.1.5: keyboard navigation no
longer replays queued presses, and menu camera ownership preserves mouse capture
correctly around gameplay tips. Startup splash screens support skipping.

Native offline shader preparation is still experimental and is not integrated
into this installer. Existing native controls and graphics settings are retained.

Run HazeRecomp--Setup.exe and select your disc-decrypted Haze USA ISO
(BLUS30094, 01.02 / 01.00). The installer downloads the pinned official RPCS3

Haze Recomp 0.1.5 for Windows x64

Reduces CPU contention by letting Windows SPU workers block on a shared lock
instead of spinning (#118). Matched opening-deck tests showed fewer frames over
50 ms; busy-jungle tests also improved. Large hitches remain, including one
192 ms outlier in the candidate comparison. This is an incremental improvement,
not a stutter-free release or a stable 144 FPS claim (#110).

Adds an optional corner FPS/performance overlay and improves the readability
of native settings over bright scenes.

Fixes misplaced fog and smoke-like silhouettes overlapping characters and world
geometry (#109). Packed scene depth now preserves the original surface's sample
layout, so effects read depth at the correct screen position. The fix applies to
the shared renderer throughout gameplay and keeps fog and particles enabled.

Also includes corrected mouse hover and keyboard navigation in menus, plus
complete diagnostic trace export when quitting through the native menu.

Includes native task-readiness wakeups, GPU vertex decoding and vertex-program
batching, enabled by default alongside the existing PC controls and graphics
settings. These improve measured jungle performance; stable 144 FPS and
consistent frame pacing remain work in progress.

Fixes the installed-game black screen caused by truncated Windows game-data
paths (#99). Incomplete data folders can now be repaired when the game accepts
installation. Fresh installation, recovery and subsequent launch were validated;
the fix preserves saves. Initial game-data installation can still take time.
