CodePen Theme 1.0 will bring Original and Custom into the same extension package. You will be able to select either color direction from Preferences: Color Theme, with an Italics option for each:
Original follows the classic CodePen/Twilight token roles. Custom keeps its distinct programming-role hierarchy. The existing
ziqq.codepen-theme-originalextension ID will remain the package identity.This major version also moves syntax grammar ownership to VS Code and recommended language extensions. The migration guide describes the change.
Before combining the directions, I am sharing separate Original and Custom test VSIX files so you can compare them in your own projects. Please leave color, token, and compatibility feedback in the testing discussion. The separate packages are temporary test builds; the 1.0 release is planned as one package with all four theme choices.
