Create guidance on recruiting and researching with people with disabilities #304
Comments
Adding references to the ticket as I find them. We have a solid base to work from thanks to work from @lauraponce on ADA and some of these resources from the larger UX community! |
@bpdesigns Can you say more about the third item |
Thanks @nicoleslaw I changed that task to reflect your plan. I think a blog post is a good idea as a next step after the content is live! |
I shared the initial draft with Ben, Claire, and Laura and will share it with TLC for review later today. I am hoping to also share with the diversity, accessibility, and neurodiversity channels once we're settled on a structure and overall narrative. |
@durland18F @quarterback new UX Guide page for your feedback |
Screener update is here |
Just sharing an update: I've incorporated lots of excellent comments from #g-accessibility and the TLC crew and am giving the diversity guild leads another couple of days to comment. |
@bpdesigns Pia and Cal reviewed. Should I follow up with Ron and Jeff for final comments, or do you want to include this in the design ops review with the screener? |
@nicoleslaw Just run it past @durland18F and then 🟢 |
Background
Recruiting and researching with people with disabilities takes intention. 18F has ideas on how to accomplish this but they are not part of our general practices.
