Recruiting and researching with people with disabilities takes intention. 18F has ideas on how to accomplish this but they are not part of our general practices.

@bpdesigns Can you say more about the third item Create a quick guide 18F teams can use in a deck or doc and what you're thinking there? I was planning to incorporate tips in a new page and existing templates (e.g., recruiting, consent form) but maybe this could be a good blog post in collab with the ADA team?

Thanks @nicoleslaw I changed that task to reflect your plan. I think a blog post is a good idea as a next step after the content is live!

I shared the initial draft with Ben, Claire, and Laura and will share it with TLC for review later today. I am hoping to also share with the diversity, accessibility, and neurodiversity channels once we're settled on a structure and overall narrative.

Just sharing an update: I've incorporated lots of excellent comments from #g-accessibility and the TLC crew and am giving the diversity guild leads another couple of days to comment.

Moving back to in-progress as this has been reviewed and I need to open a PR. This is somewhat blocked by #582 needing review before going live but I will get started on a draft.

Quick update: I have a draft ready on a branch and will push that to Github soon. I've been coordinating with @claireb-gsa on edits, because she's in the middle of a rewrite/edit on the larger guide structure. I am adding the edits I'm not making to her working doc to be incorporated in a future PR.

I'm also trying to get the new accessibility verbiage for the compensation agreement translated into Spanish today so I can include that, but have a Google Translate placeholder in the meantime.
