v0.2.0

Choose a tag to compare

@acedrew acedrew released this 28 Oct 12:00

This release adds BACnet metrics compatibility with the earlier Python corona-pcap-processor for equal-work benchmarking.

  • ot-pcap-processor file capture.pcap --corona-compat legacy.ttl writes the Python collector's BACnet metric RDF model. --capture-device ADDRESS includes its optional capture-device relationship.
  • scripts/benchmark_corona.py checks RDF triple equality before and after timed runs and fails on a semantic mismatch.
  • The checked-in output guide includes a complete compatibility Turtle example.

On the documented repeated BACnet capture, both collectors generated the same 111 RDF triples. Median end-to-end time was 0.097 seconds for this Rust collector and 5.760 seconds for the Python collector at ebfae89 (59.6× faster on the measured host). See the benchmark method for reproduction steps.

Install with uv tool install ot-pcap-processor or python -m pip install ot-pcap-processor. Prebuilt wheels cover Linux x86_64 and macOS arm64; a source distribution is available for other platforms with Rust.

@acedrew acedrew released this 28 Oct 11:03

Initial release of the OT PCAP Processor command-line collector.

  • Decode passive BACnet/IP and Modbus/TCP traffic, including Modbus Unit ID gateway topology.
  • Read PCAP and PCAPNG files or streams, capture from a local interface, or connect to an RPCAP source.
  • Export per-device and per-communication-edge OTLP metrics, hourly communication logs, Graphviz maps, and Corona network RDF.
  • Install with uv tool install ot-pcap-processor or python -m pip install ot-pcap-processor.

Prebuilt wheels cover Linux x86_64 and macOS arm64. The source distribution supports other platforms with a Rust toolchain. Python 3.9 through 3.15 are tested with each prebuilt wheel on both supported platforms.

See the README for usage, deployment examples, and output documentation.
