Vaayil now reads the Wi-Fi network's name only while Auto-connect on untrusted Wi-Fi is on. With only Auto-connect on mobile data on, it reads neither the name nor, on Android 11 and older, the list of nearby Wi-Fi networks. The privacy policy now names both Wi-Fi rules that use location.

The kill-switch guide now also says that Android lets any app send small keep-alive packets outside the VPN, even while Vaayil is connected.

Vaayil 1.1.0

New in 1.1: a Quick Settings tile and a home-screen widget turn Vaayil on and off, and the app icon's long-press menu connects a profile. Allow local network keeps printers and cast devices reachable while you're connected. Open a .conf file in Vaayil from another app. Vaayil warns when Android's Private DNS is set to a hostname, which sends apps' DNS lookups there instead of to your profile's DNS. Also: more precise wording about connections, and dialogs that stay usable at large text sizes.
