  • Network storage isn't guaranteed to work 100% of the time, so sometimes physical intervention is needed.
  • I ran into an error where the CD-ROM Image for ESXi wouldn't mount from the 480-Share, so we needed to navigate around that using a flash drive with the ISO file. Not a super elaborate fix, but definitely worth noting.
  • Ensure all hard disks are set to Thin provisioned as to not overload the servers the systems are placed on.
  • After setting up VMs, switch the CD/DVD Media to the host device after the first power off to avoid potential issues in the future.
