This update dramatically changes the file structure of VR Stage Lighting. VR Stage Lighting will now appear in the "Packages" section of your Project Tab instead of the "Assets" tab as it is now a UPM/VPM Package!

Changes From 2.1:

VPM Compatibility

  • VR Stage Lighting is now a proper VPM package that you can add to VCC to import into your projects. Extract the .zip and add the com.acchosen.vr-stage-lighting folder to VCC's list of User Packages in VCC's Settings menu.
  • An optional .unitypackage file that imports VRSL as a UPM package is also available.

Depth Light and Noise Texture Scene Toggles for Quest

  • Added keyword toggles in the VRSL Control panel to enable and disable depth light requirements to make VRSL compatible with Quest.
  • Projection-based shaders such as the disco ball and spotlight projections rely entirely on the depth texture being present and unfortunately will not work on Quest. Volumetric, lasers, and static lights will still work.
  • Also added a separate toggle to disable 3D and 2D noise on Volumetrics to reduce the overhead of volumetric shaders on Quest. (Will work on PC also).

AudioLink 0.3.1 Compatibility

  • This version of VRSL now works with AudioLink 0.3.1.
  • Added Theme Color Support for all audio link fixtures.
  • Added Color Chord support for the disco ball.
  • Added spawn toggles for the VRSL AudioLink prefab that enables smoothing options.

VRSL Stencil Masks

  • Added VRSL stencil mask prefabs.
  • These prefabs will block or "mask" out any volumetric or projection-based shaders in an area.
  • Use these to prevent VRSL lights from leaking into adjacent rooms and hallways.
  • Spawn buttons for different shapes are available in the VRSL Control Panel.
  • It is possible to make your own custom shape as they are simple stencil shaders.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed the audio link washlight volumetric from clipping into the fixture.
  • Fixed 3D noise from occasionally breaking after being in the world for too long.
  • General performance improvements for volumetric fixtures.
