Gridline v0.8.0

✨ New

  • MariaDB support — MariaDB is now a first-class database type on the MySQL driver path, with its own connection defaults and capability set rather than being treated as a MySQL alias.

  • PlanetScale (managed MySQL / Vitess) — new provider preset in the connection screen with an in-app setup guide and automatic .psdb.cloud host detection, so you get the right SSL and connection settings without guessing.

  • TimescaleDB hypertables — hypertables appear as an object type in the Objects view for PostgreSQL connections that have the extension installed, with runtime availability gating (the type is hidden when the extension isn't present).

  • Multiple result sets — the query editor now renders a stacked panel per statement, with notices for DML/DDL and stop-at-first-error semantics. Running several statements no longer hides everything after the first.

  • Streaming export — Export all rows to file… streams the full result set to CSV, JSONL or JSON as it reads, with progress reporting and cancel. Exports are no longer limited to the rows on the visible page.

  • Schema diff / compare — Tools → Schema Diff compares snapshots of two databases on the same engine and stages the safe differences straight into the changes queue for review before anything is applied.

🍎 macOS

macOS builds are Developer-ID signed and notarized, and are now built entirely in GitHub Actions alongside Windows and Linux. The xattr/quarantine workarounds from earlier releases are no longer needed.

Windows still shows a SmartScreen "More info → Run anyway" prompt on first install (no Windows signing certificate yet); Linux installs and runs with no warning.
