• 🎚️ Live equalizer bars driven by StarPlayrX's own audio (Core Audio process tap + FFT), so they move with the music, not a fake animation
• 🫧 Lava-lamp colors that drift and shift with the music, less predictable than a fixed color cycle, with a soft background glow that pulses on the bass
• 🎧 Works when the output goes through BlackHole or other audio routing
• Needs macOS 14.2 or later (earlier systems hide the bars)

• ✂️ Drag the panel off the menu bar and it becomes its own floating window
• 📻 Clicking the menu bar icon shows or hides the torn-off window
• 🎬 Double-click the header to roll the window up like a window shade, leaving just what's playing and the equalizer. Double-click again to roll it down
• 🌊 Smooth animations between the menu, the torn-off window and the shade
• 🧊 Liquid Glass look on macOS 26 and later, with no extra dark border

• 🔎 Read current channel, shown artist / shown song (what the list shows) and playing artist / playing song (what's actually playing)
• 📋 channel numbers, xtra channel numbers, live channel numbers, channel info, now playing, search channels
• 🪟 Control the window: show menu, hide menu, detach menu, drag menu, park menu at upper right, toggle shade, menu position, search text, scroll to channel, select channel
• 🧪 test channel tunes a channel and reports whether what plays matches what the list showed. All 279 Xtra channels came back MATCH

🖼️ Artwork (updated build 7)

• ✂️ Album art fills its tile, cropping away the white frames baked into some covers, with app-icon squircle corners
• 📻 Channel logos stay whole on a dark tile (Liquid Glass on macOS 26 and later); square channel art is enlarged to fill the squircle
• 🌟 No channel art or logo? The StarPlayrX logo shows instead
• ⚡ Channel art and album art are cached in memory and loaded lazily, so switching back to a channel shows its art instantly

🛠️ Fixes

• 🎯 Xtra channels play the song the channel list shows, including after switching channels
• 📜 AppleScript commands wait until the app is ready and the channel is really playing, instead of returning false or empty
• 🔎 The channel search field no longer pops up an empty AutoFill list
• 🧪 New unit test target (23 tests) and a scripted end-to-end tour

📦 Install

1. Download StarPlayrX-Mac-1.1.2.dmg (or the .zip)
2. Move StarPlayrX.app to Applications and open it
3. Click the 📻 icon in the menu bar
