• The stream now starts 1 second behind live instead of three segments (30 seconds) back
• Playback waits until the start position is set, so the old position no longer plays for half a second before it jumps (no more stutter when you pick a channel)
• Playback starts once a small amount of audio is buffered, so channels start sooner

📡 One source for what's playing

• Every live channel, tuned or not, now gets its song, artist and album art from the same place: SiriusXM's live feed. The channel list and Now Playing always agree, and the song shown no longer jumps back and forth
• What's playing is refreshed every 5 seconds. The live feed itself is downloaded at most every 45 seconds, the same rate the SiriusXM web player uses
• Live rows fill in as soon as the channel list loads

🖼️ Channel art loads ahead

• While you scroll the channel list, the art for the 10 channels above and below each visible row starts loading ahead of time, so it's usually already there when those rows scroll into view

🧠 Memory leaks fixed

• Fixed memory leaks in the caching of channel art and album art

📜 Long names scroll in the list too

• Channel names and artist / song lines too long for a row in the channel list now scroll sideways, like the Now Playing header, instead of ending in "…"

🎯 Now Playing matches what you hear

• On a live channel, the song shown now follows the audio, the same way the SiriusXM web player does it. Every second StarPlayrX checks the stream's timestamp (EXT-X-PROGRAM-DATE-TIME) and shows the song that started most recently before that point in the channel's timeline
• The title changes when the song changes in the audio, instead of waiting for the next 15-second update
• The local server now passes the stream's real segment lengths to the player, so the player's timestamp is the stream's true time. Before, shortened segment lengths pushed the timestamp off, so the song shown didn't match the audio
• Tuning in now starts at the newest segment instead of 30 seconds behind, so you're as close to live as the stream allows

📡 Live channel info from SiriusXM's live feed

• Every live channel's current song, with album art for most, now comes from one call to SiriusXM's live feed. The old feed is still the fallback
• Talk shows that have no artist now show the show's name in its place, like the web player

📜 Long titles scroll

• Song and artist names too long for the Now Playing header now scroll sideways in a loop instead of getting cut off

🧭 Updated web identity

• Sign-in and requests now identify as the latest Safari (27.0.1)

• Album art no longer flips back to the channel logo while the same song is playing. When a later update comes back with the same artist and song but no art, the art already showing is kept
• Art is replaced only when there's new art for that song, or when the song changes. The channel logo shows only when a new song has no art at all
• Covers live and Xtra channels, in the channel rows and the Now Playing header
• No flash while new art loads: rows and Now Playing keep the previous art until the new one is ready, and album art keeps its album look the whole time

• The equalizer's audio tap no longer makes playback skip: it only copies samples on Core Audio's real-time thread and runs the FFT on its own timer

🧈 Smoother scrolling with the new artwork

• The channel list scrolls smoothly even with the sharper, larger art: row art loads lazily and is decoded off the main thread
• Art is cached by pixel size, so rows and the Now Playing header each reuse the right bitmap instead of re-decoding

🖼️ Sharper art

• Album and channel art now shows in the system Now Playing controls (Control Center, media keys)
• Art is fetched and decoded at 2x–3x its display size with high-quality scaling, and never overscaled
• Now Playing never flashes blurry art: the previous sharp art stays until the new one loads, and the header uses the row's cached art meanwhile
• The StarPlayrX stand-in logo fills its tile like real artwork, with the glass behind the logo
• Xtra: a channel page that fails to load is retried instead of losing every tile

• The dictionary defines saveable file format, so the Standard Suite's save command no longer logs a warning
