Install

  1. Download MacConnect-v0.4.2.dmg (or the .zip).
  2. Open the DMG and drag MacConnect.app to Applications.
  3. Launch normally — the app is signed with Apple Developer ID and notarized, so Gatekeeper will not warn.

Universal binary: arm64 + x86_64. Requires macOS 13+.

  • Media control is now Android-to-Mac only. KDE Connect Android retains Play, Pause, Previous, Next, synchronized Mac output volume, and mute for the Mac's active system media session; the Mac popover no longer shows a phone-player tile.
  • Android's Play/Pause control now follows the actual Mac playback state, so its icon stays synchronized across connected phones.
  • Android's existing Multimedia cover surface now shows native current-track artwork when macOS provides it, while continuing to use its placeholder when it does not.

Fixed

  • Duplicate secure-link handling now promotes only fully secured candidates without dropping active connectivity.
