v0.47.0 — 2026-10-04

Added

  • Slide mode. A new ribbon button marks up the board view and saves it
as a PNG — for a repair ticket, a message to a colleague, a lesson. Draw
arrows, boxes, freehand with a pen, and text in five colours and three
weights; everything stays pinned to the parts while you pan, zoom or
rotate. Every selected part gets a large label with its name, and
⌘+click (Ctrl+click on Windows, or the Several parts toggle on a
tablet) labels several at once; under the label of the part you picked
last are two boxes to note an Ω and a diode reading, which print on the
label. The PNG carries the board file name and the date in a header, the
labels, your annotations and the minimap. Copy puts the same picture on
the clipboard. A guide card explains the tool in hand; Esc leaves, and
the annotations come back when you return.
  • Minimap. Zoomed in past twice the fit view, a pan of more than an
eighth of the screen fades in a small map of the whole board at the top
with a box for what you are looking at — click or drag on it to move.
It leaves when panning stops, stays up in slide mode, and the ribbon
    button turns it off.
  • PDF filters in one menu. The wand on the PDF toolbar opens a menu
with the watermark text filter and its terms, Strip small watermark
    images
(which had no control before) and Skip invisible content.
The two parse-time options show a Reload & re-parse row when an open
PDF was opened under other values; page, search and extracted text
    survive the reload.
  • Touch: a right click on glass. Hold a finger on a part and tap with
a second one to open its menu. Any touch outside closes it.

Changed

  • PDFs render faster where it hurt most. Some PDFs end every page with
a page-sized invisible overlay that pdf.js still decoded, rasterised and
composited on every render — 100–190 ms per render on an iPad. It is
dropped before it reaches the renderer; the picture is pixel-identical.

Fixed

  • No more blurry blink after a zoom. When a zoom settled where sharp
pixels already existed, the viewer put the blurry preview on top of
them for a moment, and in Safari a cleared tile could reach the screen
for a frame. Both causes are gone.
  • Scrolling over a board next to a PDF works again. With the PDF the
active panel, a wheel over the board took the zoom and drew nothing. A
    regression from July.
  • An old tab after a server update said nothing and failed to open
boards; it now says the server was updated and offers a reload.
  • Small net names on the iPad stopped showing when zooming in; they
    are back.
  • Strip small watermark images applied to the first pages only after
a zoom change; a failed strip left a permanent "reload needed"; a term
typed in the filter menu and clicked away from was lost.
