KiteOS Create 1.0.7

An early test build. Expect rough edges, and please report what breaks.

New since the last download on the website (1.0.2)

Free, and any AI you like. There's no plan to buy. Connect Claude Code, Codex or Antigravity as before, or now an API key (Anthropic, OpenAI or Google) or a local model in Ollama or LM Studio, which is free and keeps everything on your computer.

Everything the AI does can be changed by hand. Each clip has Cropping, Composite (opacity, blend mode, flip) and Colour, with Lift, Gamma, Gain and Offset wheels plus temperature, tint, contrast, pivot and saturation. Any of these numbers can be keyframed. The whole-video grade is sliders too: a look like Teal and orange just fills them in.

Kite works faster on big edits. A new video is edited by several AIs at once: one does the pacing, then captions, colour and sound are done side by side. In the Detailed view, the part of the timeline being worked on lights up while it happens.

Every size from 720p to 8K.

Looks like a Mac app. The app's own icon set and a new colour picker. The AI is called Kite everywhere.

Styles learn from you. Tag a style with @ in a request and it follows that look; it learns your length, pace, captions and colour from the edits you make.

Opening it the first time

The app isn't signed yet. On a Mac, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway, or run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/KiteOS Create.app". On Windows, click More info, then Run anyway.
