Shortened the installation guide and removed bundled screenshots. Runtime code and configuration are unchanged. Only the Alfred asset and its checksum were replaced; Vicinae/Raycast assets are unchanged. Packaging commit: 8f5fb00; the existing version tag was not moved.

查询需要联网，网站接口可能随网络、限流或上游改动失效；有道部分语种对不受支持。Google 的读音标记不一定是 IPA，也没有完整词形变化表。联想释义可能被上游截断，补全候选后可查询详细词条。/ Queries require internet access and depend on website endpoints. Some Youdao language pairs are unsupported. Google readings are not necessarily IPA, and a complete inflection table is unavailable. Suggestion glosses may be shortened by the provider; complete the candidate to query its detailed entry.

回退时重新安装旧版附件即可，无需删除偏好或缓存。Vicinae 用户可将旧扩展目录备份到 extensions 目录之外。/ To roll back, reinstall an earlier release without deleting preferences or caches. Keep any Vicinae extension backup outside the extensions directory.

FelixDict v0.2.0

FelixDict now includes Alfred, Vicinae and Raycast editions, with dictionary lookup, phonetics, prefix suggestions and multilingual translation. This release also introduces the FelixDict name and fd keyword, plus language-aware speech for translated results.

macOS desktop behavior has been tested. Linux/XFCE desktop interaction remains unverified; Linux speech needs Speech Dispatcher (spd-say). FelixDict does not support Windows yet, even though Raycast and Vicinae themselves offer Windows versions.

To roll back, reinstall an older release. For Vicinae, keep a backup of the previous extension folder outside the extensions directory. Preferences and caches do not need to be deleted.

v0.1.6 — Configurable translation languages

Configurable translation languages

Set Preferred target (target_language) and Secondary language (secondary_language) in Configure Workflow. Text translates to the preferred target; if the detected source matches that language, it translates to the secondary language instead. Choose two different codes: zh, en, ja, ko, fr, de, es, it, pt, ru, ar.

Defaults remain zh/en. Explicit prefixes such as :fr override both settings.

With en/ja, ed 你好 → Hello, ed hello → こんにちは, and ed :fr hello → Bonjour.

Both settings are included in the cache key so a configuration change does not reuse translations for a different language pair. Invalid settings return configuration guidance.

Youdao definitions and prefix suggestions remain English–Chinese and can be disabled separately by removing Youdao from providers. UI hints remain primarily Chinese.

Installation

Requires macOS, Alfred 5 with Powerpack, and Node.js 18+. Download the .alfredworkflow asset below and double-click to import/update. Preserve workflow customisations when updating.

Updated Chinese and English documentation is included. Online translation requires network access; no translation API key or running Easydict/Raycast app is required.

Validation: 22 Node tests and 4 Python tests passed; live Google and detached-worker checks passed. Local Alfred import confirmed v0.1.6 and both language settings. Bing live requests remain unverified.

MIT licensed; portions adapted from Raycast Easydict, credited in THIRD_PARTY.md. Developed with AI assistance.

v0.1.5 — Dictionary, word suggestions and multilingual translation

An independent Alfred Workflow for English–Chinese dictionary lookup, word-prefix suggestions, and multilingual translation. No running Easydict or Raycast app and no translation API key required.

Install

1. Install Node.js 18+ if it is not already available. Requires macOS and Alfred 5 with Powerpack.
2. Download Alfred-Easydict-0.1.5.alfredworkflow below and double-click to import it.
3. Type ed hello in Alfred.

If Node.js is not found, set node_path in Configure Workflow.

Features

• Youdao English–Chinese definitions, phonetics, word forms, and web definitions.
• English prefix suggestions with Chinese glosses: try ed insp.
• Google translation by default; explicit targets such as ed :ja hello or ed :fr hello.
• Enter to copy, Command+Enter to speak the original text, Command+L for Large Type.
• Progressive results and local caching.

Translation requires network access. Queries are sent to enabled providers; this is not an offline dictionary. By default, Chinese translates into English and other languages into Simplified Chinese; use an explicit target prefix to override this.

MIT licensed. Query/decoding code is partly adapted from Raycast Easydict; see THIRD_PARTY.md. Developed with AI assistance.

Validation: 20 Node.js tests and 3 Python tests passed; package rebuilt from the tagged source.
