Feature Request: Folder-based Wallpaper Slideshow

[FromLinuxWithLove]

Out of nostalgia, I have downloaded my favorite Windows theme and extracted the desktop wallpapers from them. I would like to use these wallpapers in a slideshow so that the desktop background changes every 30 minutes. Unfortunately, I haven't found an option to do this. Therefore, I would be happy if the next version of AnduinOS received a feature to display all images in a folder as a slideshow. This would also help prevent burn-in on my OLED monitor.

I guess there might already be gnome extensions providing this feature.. I remembered that I tried one before a long time ago.. Forgot it's name.

Before AnduinOS provides this feature,

I suggest you try using Variety (Source).

It offers the features you mentioned.

• Specify a folder for desktop wallpapers, and set an interval for cycling through the images.

Personally, I always use Variety to automatically cycle through my desktop wallpapers. I’ve mentioned this before in another discussion thread.

Providing this for your reference.

Thank you @samwhelp . Considering this feature is not useful for all users and there already exists community solutions, AnduinOS won't integrate it by default.

@Anduin2017

I understand.

I think you would provide a general solution.

My original intention above was simply to provide a reference for people who want to use Variety after installing AnduinOS.
