Diagonal Stay

Wide cantilevers (width 3 or more) can be hung from the mast with a diagonal stay, as on real lines.

1. Hold P&W's Wire Coil in Support Wire mode.
2. Click the cantilever, then a block of the same mast 2 to 5 blocks above it (or the other way round). Each height gives a different triangle.

The stay is a single straight wire. It enters the horizontal bar just before the messenger insulator, so it moves outwards on wider cantilevers, and it ends on the face of the mast that looks at the cantilever.

• Reconfiguring the cantilever moves the stay with it. If the width drops below 3, the stay is removed.
• Breaking the cantilever or that mast block gives the wire back to the coil.
