Hey everyone! Once again, you all are AMAZING and are doing a great job at keeping me busy LOL. Your feedback has been incredibly helpful in not only identifying ways to make Recall more stable, but also providing ideas for improving it in some pretty big ways. With this release, the headline feature is the addition of MetalFX Upscaling to Recall! This one took a lot of trial and error since Overwatch doesn't officially support it, but if there is a will, there is a way! For those running on lower end machines, you can choose from different upscaling presets that could improve FPS by over 75% in some cases. I'm excited to see what you all think! With all that said, here is the rest of what's new in v1.3:

What's new

  • MetalFX upscaling. Turn it on in Settings › Graphics, then pick NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution in Overwatch's Video settings. Quality looks closest to full resolution; Performance and Ultra Performance give the most FPS.
  • Voice chat. Your microphone now works in Overwatch voice chat.
  • Better AirPods and Bluetooth audio. Game sound stays high quality while you use voice chat.
  • Redesigned Settings. Easier to find what you're looking for.
  • Korean account support (experimental). Overwatch on a Korean account linked to Nexon used to close as soon as it started. Turn this on in Settings › Advanced to play.
  • Launch stability fixes.
  • Automatic proxy detection is now off by default. It was making the Battle.net installer get stuck on some networks. You can turn it back on in Settings › Advanced.

Get started

  1. Download Recall-1.3.0.dmg below and open it.
  2. Drag Recall to Applications, then open it.
  3. Follow setup, sign in to Battle.net, install Overwatch and press Play.

Before your first match, play Workshop code 929PJ from Custom Games and let it run for 5 to 10 minutes. Your Mac gets Overwatch's graphics ready ahead of time, so your matches don't stutter while it catches up. Do the same any time your matches start to stutter.

Already on Recall? It updates itself when you open it.

You need Apple Silicon (M1 or newer), macOS Tahoe 26.5 or later, Rosetta and 85–95 GB of free space. 16 GB of memory is recommended. Recall is notarized by Apple.

Thanks

It's been so cool to see Recall improve so much in the last couple days thanks to everyone's feedback and I look forward to continuing to make the Overwatch Mac experience even better. As Recall continues to mature, it'll even be fun to explore how Recall could be a launcher for other games outside of Overwatch as well. Stay tuned :)
