AuthRail Sidecar v0.2.0 adds guided installation and private SDK bindings.

  • Run authrail-sidecar setup to sign in through the browser, select a deployment, generate application keys privately and register only the public key.
  • Start a Docker installation from a verified published image, or run natively beside a host application. Installation commands preserve credentials, queued reports and recovery state when stopping or removing a container.
  • Generate Node.js, Go and Python binding helpers for the released 0.1.1 SDKs. Reruns preserve application edits and provide separate generated updates for review.
  • Inspect selected action versions and coverage requirements without returning rule bodies or credentials.

Native downloads support macOS and Linux on amd64 and arm64. Verify the accompanying SHA-256 checksum before running a download. Each archive includes a version/revision manifest.

Docker: ghcr.io/authrail/authrail-sidecar:0.2.0 (Linux amd64/arm64). Pin the published manifest digest for deployment.

Guided sign-in requires an AuthRail API and workspace with the Runtime setup endpoints. This release publishes the customer-side executable and images; it does not deploy the AuthRail server or tenant application. The SDK must wrap the actual protected function, with provider credentials kept outside the agent's reach. Connecting a sidecar alone does not protect uninstrumented tools.

Release checks passed native race tests, Node/Go/Python protocol compatibility, and container integration on both image architectures. Permission, application-reported execution and independently verified provider effects remain distinct.
