0.6.0 - 2026-10-24
Release Notes
- The form suggests known tags while you type one (
+rep→+reporting, also in the
tags field) and buckets after@in the title;→takes the grey suggestion over.
Most used tags come first, tags already in the field are not suggested again - Eleven more built-in themes: Dracula, One Dark, Kanagawa, Everforest Dark/Light,
Rosé Pine, Rosé Pine Moon, Rosé Pine Dawn, Solarized Dark/Light and Tokyo Night Day - The theme picker lists dark themes first, then light ones (
dark = true/falsein the
theme file; themes without it come last), each group under its own heading and
sorted by name; the list scrolls when the terminal is too low - If shdo.toml is valid TOML but does not fit, the error names the installed version
and suggests updating shdo – usually another machine wrote it with a newer version - The tags field shows finished tags as pills; Backspace removes a whole tag. Tags no
task uses yet are marked as new, so a typo stands out before saving

0.5.0 - 2026-10-23
Release Notes
- Settings page on
,: language, default bucket, how long done tasks stay visible,
auto-sync and holidays, changed with←/→and applied at once; it also archives
old done tasks, opens the settings file and shows the data directory and git remote - Done tasks are shown for 14 days (
done_days, 7/14/30/90 or all); the done column
says so and counts the older ones it hides. Open tasks are never hidden by age shdo archivenow archives done tasks older thandone_days;--allarchives all- The tag filter moved into the filter popup (
f):←/→switches between buckets
and tags, Enter saves both, Esc restores both;+still jumps to the tags - The header no longer mentions a hidden done column when it is empty
- View state (bucket and tag filter, done column, calendar) moved from config.toml to
~/.local/state/shdo/state.toml; config.toml keeps only settings. Existing values are
moved automatically on the first start nameis optional for statuses and buckets in shdo.toml: without one, todo, doing,
wait, done, home and work are shown in the board's language (other keys as the key).
New boards are written without names; the settings page can open shdo.toml
