BaklaFox 0.6.9

First public release! This build has been tested on a first-generation iPhone SE running iOS 14 with the Taurine jailbreak, where it launches and runs without jailbreak-related crashes. Other jailbreak environments have not been fully tested and may still experience startup issues or fail to launch.

What's different

  • App data paths now work properly on iOS 14 TrollStore
  • Bookmarks, history, downloads etc. won't crash if a folder is missing
  • Forces the right Gecko helper instead of launching the wrong one
  • Video and audio fixed for iOS 13 and 14
  • JIT works with TrollStore, jailbreaks, and device pairing
  • Add-on UI updates on the main thread (no more instant crashes)
  • Less likely to crash from tweak injection or sandbox issues

  • BaklaFox-TrollStore.tipa — for TrollStore
  • BaklaFox-Jailbroken.ipa — for jailbroken devices with AppSync Unified
  • BaklaFox.ipa — for AltStore, SideStore, etc.

Notes

  • First launch takes a bit longer because Gecko needs to create its profile. That's normal.
  • If you're jailbroken and BaklaFox acts unstable, try disabling tweak injection for it in Choicy.
  • This is still experimental. Expect some bugs here and there.
  • SHA-256 hashes below for anyone who wants to verify the downloads.
