Major release. The cookie-consent module leaves the framework and now ships as its own standalone package. MineralUI Pro stays focused on the UI surface; cookie consent is no longer something the framework owns.
What was removed
- `src/components/feedback/MCookie/` (the whole folder) — MCookieBanner, MCookieConsent, MCookieConsentProvider, MCookieDeclaration, MCookiePreferences, MCookieTrigger and the script-tag bootstrap.
- `src/cookie-consent-bootstrap.ts` — the subpath entry point. The `./cookie-consent-bootstrap` export is gone from `package.json` and `vite.config.ts`.
- `MCookieConsentIllustration` from the illustrations module.
- `MCookieConsentTexts` interface and `useMCookieConsentTexts()` hook from `i18n/frameworkTexts`.
- `MCookieConsent` from the Pro licensing list.
Counting deltas
- Public component count 160 → 154 (-6).
- Pro count 18 → 17 (-1).
- Illustration count 64 → 63 (-1).
- `feedback` category 9 → 3.
Any consumer that imported `MCookie*` symbols from `@banzamel/mineralui-pro` fails to compile against 2.0.0 — that is the breaking change.
For migration, install `@banzamel/honey` and switch imports. The replacement package mirrors the API; see honey's README for the rename list.
Build
- `tsc && vite build` clean. Bundle is meaningfully smaller (~300 kB cookie surface removed from the feedback chunk). No `cookie-consent-bootstrap.{js,cjs}` in dist, no shared bootstrap chunk.
What stayed untouched
- Cards, controls, data, display, dropdowns, the rest of feedback, form, inputs, layout, media, overlays, primitives, typography — all unchanged. 154 components ship exactly as in 1.12.0 minus the cookie surface.
- Icons (264 classic + 180 v2), the remaining 63 illustrations.
- Theme tokens, MThemeProvider, MI18nProvider.
- Pro / Free split.
