Tidycade - Windows Test 2 (5 games)
Pre-releaseTidycade - Windows Test 2 (5 games)
This test expands the Windows library from two games to five: Pocket the Place, OpenTTD, OpenTyrian, OpenHV and Shattered Pixel Dungeon. It also adds Tidycade branding, clearer covers and installation progress with Cancel and Retry. It is not a finished Windows release or the ten-game Ubuntu library.
Download and try
- Download
tidycade-windows-test-2.zipfrom Assets below. - Extract the whole ZIP to a writable folder. Do not run from inside the ZIP.
- Open
Tidycade-Windows-TEST.exe. A configured default browser is required; no Python installation is needed. - In Library, choose Install on Pocket the Place for a quick first game, then Play. Other games download when you choose Install.
Read START-HERE.txt. Do not run as administrator or automatically bypass security warnings. This unsigned test executable may trigger an unknown-publisher warning; stop if unsure.
What was checked
Compatibility checks used Wine, which runs Windows programs on Linux. Installation, restart and uninstall were checked. OpenTyrian, OpenHV and Shattered Pixel Dungeon reached their opening menus or setup screens; full gameplay was not tested.
Native Windows desktop opening and interactive gameplay remain unverified. OpenTyrian failed to open its game window during an early Wine check, then opened on a repeat. This test build is not a guarantee that every game will launch on every Windows computer.
Downloads and saves
Keep Tidycade running during installation. Browser reloads keep the job while the launcher is running. Quitting or rebooting interrupts downloads; they start over, and job results do not persist across launcher restarts. Internet is needed to install games; hardware and first-run requirements still apply. No all-games offline guarantee.
Keep home/ beside the executable when updating. Browser-game progress depends on the same browser profile and game address. Some games also save in their usual user folders. Artwork notices are included in attribution/.

Choose the named Windows test ZIP, not GitHub's automatic Source code links, which contain this downloads page rather than the launcher.
