v6.0.0: Android, Self-Updating Mod & Favorite Battles

BazaarPlusPlus v6.0.0

This is a major release. BazaarPlusPlus now runs on Android, the mod updates itself, and History can save favorite battles with notes and show each run's final rank. 6.0.0 also moves to a new data format (Bundle V6) and a new server, so please read Before You Upgrade first.

⚠️ Before You Upgrade

  • New local data folder. 6.0.0 keeps its history in a new BazaarPlusPlusV6 folder. The installer imports your 5.x history once, from the Install page. After that it can delete the old 5.x folder for you, one folder at a time.
  • No downgrade to 5.x. 5.x cannot read 6.0.0 data, and 5.x clients no longer upload.
  • New BazaarDB server. Uploads and Ghost sync now go to a new server. Runs and Ghosts from 5.x are not carried over to the new server.
  • Close the game first. The installer no longer imports, cleans up, or repairs data while The Bazaar is running.

Highlights

BazaarPlusPlus on Android

  • A new Android build, available on the download page.
  • Records runs and PvP battles, and uploads them to BazaarDB the same way the desktop does.
  • History, Ghost sync, and saved-replay playback, inside the game's own menus. History shows favorites, delete, filters, rank badges, trophies, and portraits.
  • Collection and Ten-Win Builds panels, built on the game's native cards.
  • Upgrade previews with next-tier values, and a combat clock next to the vault.
  • Settings are in the game's native settings dialog. The panels fit phone screens.

Mod self-update

  • The mod now updates itself at game launch, without reopening the installer. Install and Repair in the installer keep a mod that has updated itself.

History

  • Favorite battles and add notes to them.
  • Each run shows its final rank and rating change.
  • The installer's History page shows hero names and rank tiers in your language.

Collection

  • Inspect a card, with the game's native variant controls.

Improvements

  • Built against the current live game client (1.0.12650 on Windows, 1.0.12651 on macOS, 1.0.12825 on Android).
  • New design system: the installer, the website, and the in-game panels now use one shared look.
  • Desktop dock shortcuts now sit in a corner around the gear button.
  • Much less work on the game's main thread in History, Collection, Ten-Win Builds, Combat Impact, tooltips, card previews, recording, and replay. Replay effects and audio that the game does not need are no longer kept loaded.
  • After an upload fails, retries back off, and they wait while you are offline.
  • Fixed enchant previews showing the wrong language after you change the game language.
  • Fixed recordings saving the wrong duration, and aborted recordings losing their audio or details.
  • Fixed item gems that stayed hidden after an artwork-only preview.
  • Fixed the combat status bar sitting above scenery or curtains when it should not.
  • Fixed favorite copies being lost when two saves overlapped.
  • Installer: History cleanup keeps files that History still uses, and tries again to delete videos that it could not delete on the first try.
  • Installer: when no install is found, the OBS overlay says so instead of showing an empty list.
  • Installer: install detection and overlay commands no longer freeze the window.
